Peter Shaw
Kaleb is in his third and final year at UMN majoring in Theatre: Performance Creation and Studies in Cinema and Media Culture. Originally from Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Kaleb is excited to return to the UMTAD stage for his second mainstage show.
Henrietta Leavitt
Iris is a theatre major from Plymouth, Minnesota. Her last production with UMTAD was Men on Boats. She studied abroad for a semester at the Gaiety School of Acting. For her last college show, she feels lucky to work on such an inspiring story with some of the greatest people she has ever met!
Annie Cannon
Shayla is from South Minneapolis, Minnesota. She is a junior studying Theatre: Performance Creation. Last spring, Shayla was in RARE: Stories of Dis-Ease creative collaboration in the Experimental Theatre, but this is her first BA mainstage production.
Williamina Fleming
Lily is a junior at the University of Minnesota from Arden Hills, Minnesota. She is majoring in Theatre Arts and Studies in Cinema and Media Culture. This is her first show with UMTAD!
Margaret Leavitt
Cece Roth is from Plymouth, Minnesota and is majoring in Theatre: Performance Creation. She is a second year at the University of Minnesota and is very excited to be in her first UMTAD show.
Director
Kym Longhi is the Artistic Director of Combustible Company (formerly FTF Works) and director of their previous works: Monster Heart (writer/director), Imaginary Invalid, Bluebeard’s Dollhouse (writer/director), Herocycle (writer/director), The Gun Show, and Selma ‘65. Prior to co-founding Combustible Company, she was a core company member with Margolis Brown ADAPTORS Company, collaborating and performing in their original works, including The Human Show (Cos Festival, Spain) and Vanishing Point (International Festival, Singapore). She has also worked as an actor-collaborator with Off-Leash Area, Skewed Visions and Flaneur Productions. Other directing projects include SenseAbility (Craig Harris/Interference Arts), Donald Giovanni in Cornlandia, and Dr Falstaff and the Working Wives of Lake County (Mixed Precipitation). She has taught for the University of Minnesota’s Department of Theater Arts and Dance since 2001, and she continues to be astounded by her amazing students.
Assistant Director
Ella is in her third year at UMN, majoring in Theatre Arts with minors in Dance and Communications. She is so excited to be a part of this beautiful show alongside so many incredible people. Thank you and enjoy the show!
Assistant Director
Rebecca is from Ames, Iowa and is a senior majoring in Theatre Arts: Performance Creation and minoring in Fashion Studies! She is a director, stage manager, and performing artist and is absolutely thrilled to be working on her first mainstage show!
Assistant Scenic Designer
Michael is a third year student in the University of Minnesota’s Theatre BA program, focusing on scenic design and acting. This is Michael’s first time as an assistant scenic designer for a University production. This is also his first experience running the sound board. He hopes you enjoy the show!
Costume Designer
Caroline A. Zaltron is a 2nd year MFA candidate studying Costume Design. Originally from Brazil, she has previously worked in Fashion and TV. She is excited to be designing her first show at the University of Minnesota.
Lighting Designer
Wesley Cone is a 2nd Year Lighting MFA Candidate. He was born and raised in Park City, Utah and received his BFA in Theatre Arts from Utah State University. He has worked as a designer and technician at numerous theaters and events across the Twin Cities in the five years he’s been here.
Associate Sound Designer
Bailey is a first-year MFA in Design/Technology with a specialization in Sound Design. Originating from Ozark, Alabama, she has a BFA in Design/Technology from Auburn University and an AA in Technical Production from Chipola College. Bailey is thrilled to be at UMN and continue to escalate her professional experience.
Media Designer
Leslie is a recent UMN alumni from the small town, Colfax, Wisconsin. During her time at the University, she was involved as an actor in UMTAD’s 2021 Men on Boats and was the media designer for UMTAD’s 2021 She Kills Monsters.. Since then, she has worked as a media assistant for the show Airness at Park Square Theatre. To conclude the 2022 year and start the UMTAD season, she makes her return as the media designer for Silent Sky. Enjoy!
Assistant Media Designer
Luciana Stich is starting her first year as a Theatre Arts major strong! She is excited to reintroduce herself to tech crew after years of performance, and hopes to continue exploring and creating in both fields at UMTAD.
Stage Manager
Hailey is from Detroit Lakes, Minnesota. She is a fourth year Theater major with a Management minor in her final semester. She is the Stage Manager in what will be her third and final UMTAD production and hopes you enjoy our show!
Scene & Props Assistant Manager
Samantha is a second year Theatre Arts major from Minneapolis, Minnesota. She is thrilled to work on her first UMTAD show as the scenery/props assistant stage manager. She’s incredibly thankful to be a part of this inspirational show with UMTAD’s kind and welcoming people.
Costume Assistant Stage Manager
Samantha is a second year student majoring in Theatre and Psychology from Richfield, Minnesota. She is excited to be working as the costume assistant stage manager in her first UMTAD show. She hopes everyone enjoys the show as much as she enjoyed working on it!
